Generally getting lots of research done on eco stuff. Regarding solar PV pannel, we are currently looking at alternatives to incorporating them in the roof. This has advantages aesthetically. Also it allows for expansion easily and potentially offers us further rainwater capture for water (if we go down that route).

There are companies that sell frames (e.g. WireFreeDirect where I’ve bought my solar stuff from http://unknownexception.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!CB766B6A9BAF3D4!248.entry), but I was thinking of just going to a local metal bashing place to get one made out of angle-iron.
An obvious other solution is a shed. Panels on top, equipment inside etc. And you get a shed!
